Courtney Skye

Courtney Skye, a Mesa, Arizona native, has been immersed in dance for over 20 years, with nearly a decade of professional teaching experience. Trained in various styles, she draws special inspiration from contemporary dance and musical theater, shaping her unique and quirky approach to choreography and instruction. As a co-founder and director of Abstraction Dance Company, Courtney brings unique ideas to life through performances, film, and photography. She has choreographed and taught for multiple competitive studios, dance teams, and professional companies, helping dancers refine their artistry and love for dance. Named “Arizona’s Up and Coming Artist” by Voyage Magazine in 2020, Courtney’s work has earned numerous awards and led to collaborations with music artists and dance companies. She’s had the opportunity to judge dance competitions, teach at conventions, and share her insights with the dance community. Courtney continuously travels for teaching and choreography, excited to inspire dancers worldwide along the way. Beyond dance, Courtney is also a passionate dance photographer and writer, fully immersed in the arts as a whole.
