Kimi Cunningham
Miss Kimi started dancing at age 3 in the suburbs of Chicago. Her performing arts education has included studying Ballet, Jazz, Lyrical, Musical Theatre, Tap, Tumbling, Swing and other ballroom styles, as well as acting and singing. She danced competitively in high school and college, and has performed at local festivals and bigger venues, such as Disneyland. She was a member of Camalo Dance Company - a philanthropic, 18+ dance company based in Arizona - for three seasons and has also hosted many of their shows.
Kimi has performed in dozens of musicals, including a production of West Side Story while living in Milan, Italy. Her favorite roles have included Lucy in You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown, Maureen in RENT, Cathy in the Last Five Years, and Ronette in Little Shop of Horrors. Kimi has been teaching dance in studios for over 20 years, and choreographing musicals for local high schools and community theatre programs for 15+ years. She loves sharing her passion for performing with students of all ages, and enjoys helping them grow into well-rounded performers.
